This photo shoot was a bit of a shock to the system – 8 AM on the first Saturday when we really started to feel like we were having fall weather! Brrrr! Luckily, this gang – Joe, Ceci, Pepe, and Kyky – were all troopers and we had fun exploring Bluemont Park and trying to spend as much time in the sun as possible. I love family sessions because it’s just so fun for me to see everyone interact, especially the kids. I loved working with these guys and appreciate them getting up early and being chilly for me!
Ohmygosh, this little guy was just precious! I was so happy when Katie and Mike contacted me to see if I could come out and take some photos of their new little guy. They are just SO CUTE when they’re as tiny as Wyatt, and he was such a good model. I hope to see more of him and his wonderful parents as he grows up!
I had SO much fun with these guys. The kids cracked me up, and they were all total naturals. We met at Burke Lake Park and took off along the trail to get some nice pictures in the woods and along the lake. At our first stop, I put my bag down to get my camera out and ready and by the time I turned around, they’d already arranged themselves perfectly! I also loved the nice touch of the balloons they brought along, as Abigail was just celebrating her third birthday! I hope you enjoy checking these out as much as I enjoyed taking them!
Whew. I have been slacking on the blog lately – many apologies! No real excuses, except that time just seems to get away from me these days. Luckily, you don’t have to listen to me ramble too much in this post. Instead, you get to look at this great family, Kristen and John and their adorable boys, Inaki and Xavier. They took advantage of the Halloween mini-session offer and we met up at Lake Fairfax Park on a perfect Saturday afternoon. All the leaves were gorgeous! The boys did great – kids are often not sure what to make of getting their picture taken, but these two did a super job :)
You can tell these two love being brothers!
Inaki loves giving hugs :) What a sweetie.
Thanks, A Family, for meeting up with me! I had a great time with all of you!
Back in May, I introduced you to Jhonna and Ryan, who were expecting their first baby. This month, I had the pleasure of getting to meet that baby, sweet little Quinn. She was such a delight, and a natural model to boot. And after our session was over, I got to hold her and watch her get all sleepy in my arms, which was just wonderful. It was also great to watch Jhonna and Ryan together with Quinn – you can tell how much they love her, and they seem to have settled into parenthood quite well. I hope you enjoy the photos as much as I enjoyed taking them, and I hope to capture more of this family as Quinn grows!
This family found their way to me by bidding on a donated photo session at a school fundraising auction. They were getting ready to relocate to Italy and wanted to take family photos before they left. We went to Quincy Park nearby their house, where they spent a lot of time together as a family, just playing on the playground and kicking around the soccer ball. We had a really good time just goofing around on the playground – there is just something special about a family that likes to play together :) I hope you enjoy checking out these photos as much as I enjoyed taking them!
