How excited was I to get an email from Kyle with one of the most awesome ideas ever? He was getting ready to propose to his girlfriend, Elise, and his plan was to send her on a scavenger hunt around DC and Virginia, using friends to give her clues and sending her to locations that were important to them and their relationship. He wanted me to tag along, paparazzi-style, and snap photos at some of the clue locations and then be there for the proposal itself. Is that not the neatest idea?
He put SO much work into this, and everyone was on board, and at one point I was nervous if we were going to be able to pull it off (hint to guys who are planning a secret proposal adventure but involving other people: log off your email/Facebook!) but if finally came together and it was a lot of fun and a great success!
Congrats, Kyle and Elise! You two are such a sweet couple and I am so excited for you to take this next step together. Thank you so much for having me be a part of your proposal!
Elise’s friend Jen and Elise and Kyle’s dog Beau were waiting at one of the early clue spots, Dogma in Shirlington.
The proposal spot – one of Elise and Kyle’s favorite restaurants, Sine. Kyle has a pre-proposal beer for fortification.
